That flame got me

A video in which bands march and cars burn.  The revelation of pull-back tracking shots, so that we're dragged ass backwards through what will come to surround the object of attention, and a reminder that we only see the flames when we're already past them.  (That, and J. Cole proves that he pretty much deserves to be the next big thing, or at least that BBGUN needs to keep making videos.)

  1. A similar reaction while reading Black Boy. In the first chapter Wright reveals that a curtain is lit aflame and one kitten is hung by the hands of a child. The boys' father says to shut the cat up and 'kill' it. And so the fire and the dead kitten are also past us. We are left with a drive fueled by boredom in an empty house and a sinister delight in resentment. The object of attention becomes hunger itself. Wright is already a big thing in classic literature, but he's dead now. Good to see BBGUN keeping it up.
