These are a few of my favorite things, brought together in the grainy window of youtube. Absurdly over-the-top Mario Bava inspired Italian doom metal wizards Abysmal Grief, played over old horror footage. Check out their full album, appropriately, over at the Cosmic Hearse: it's a stunning, church organ groaning, chain rattling, dirge stomping alternate musical history drawing forth the hazy psychedelic undertones of so much of this century's misfiring scary movie brilliance.
