Those fragments are amazing, and I particularly love the sequence of the first few photos as you've posted them. There's something here that, for me, resonates with the questions you brought up in your recent post re: how to think the totality of human experience while also thinking its constitutive pieces. This sequence is beautifully evocative of that for me. The human stands mutely, lips somewhat pursed, brain exposed. Then the tactile and the visual, both disembodied and incomplete; finally, the jaw hangs open and this clumsy lump of tongue falls forth. By the time we arrive at the open breast it's meaningless, beyond words, the body hopelessly divided.
